They were looking for a spot to construct their ideal home when they discovered downtown Apex. There were still some boarded-up buildings when they came here 13 years ago, but what was there was wonderful. Those boarded-up buildings have been refurbished in the last ten years; new stores and restaurants have opened, and the downtown is prospering.
Apex was awarded the number one place to live in the nation by CNN and Money Magazine in 2015.
In 2004, we reached the conclusion that it was time to fulfill a long-held ambition. Mack and I had a vision of an old country shop where customers would feel welcome and at ease. They wanted to supply all of the furniture and accessories that would aid in the creation of a warm and inviting environment.
Customers can now smell the candles, hear soothing music, hear the creak of the old wood flooring, and see the light of the blazing fireplace at the rear of the shop during the chilly winter months. They want to assist them in moving into their own houses because they recognize the warm, fuzzy, prop-your-feet-up sensation.
The Rusty BucketIt sells home decor from the United States, including the rustic, farmhouse, rustic, and primitive styles. Their custom-made furniture is well-known in the neighborhood. Get a picture of something you like in the store – or a magazine – but need a different size or finish. They can usually recreate it for you.
They want their consumers to enjoy their browsing experience, purchases, and interactions with them. The return policy is “no questions asked.” The inscription on the sign reads, “Enter as Strangers, Leave as Friends.” over the entrance door, and we mean it!
